Baseball ratings down from last season, still not awful
The division series on TBS did better than most stuff on TV, but less well than last year's first round of baseball playoffs.
Apparently the lack of the Yankees hurt, as did the presence of Sarah Palin.
Whatever. I'm finally starting to come around to many readers' point of view when it comes to ratings:
I care less than I used to.

They really only matter if it will affect whether or not the game is shown. I think I recall reading that and Islanders/Devils game registered a number that equaled 700 households for a game 2 seasons ago. Well, both of those teams still have every single game showed on TV, so it shows me that the ratings don't matter much to the everyday fan.
There was a game that registered 0.01, but I still think there was something screwy about Nielsen's measurements that night.
Agree...Ratings dont mean anything to the average fan....BUT no one watches hockey...I think Nielsen or whatever measurement was dead on. Hockey is a major sport anymore...that's a fact.
I watch hockey....I'm someone...
(But then again, perhaps my vote doesn't count and I'm irrelevant).
Islander505...you definitely count. I am just saying the masses dont watch it. You have to agree with that, right?
Maybe the "masses" don't watch it, but for those that do, you don't have to make them feel like fools.
Ok, we get it already. Personally, the NBA could fold up and I wouldn't even notice. Talk about unwatchable...the players today make a mockery of the game.
