Good job by SNY carrying the Billy Wagner news conference from Shea.

Normally I'm jaded about crying athletes at these things - see Favre, Brett - but this one was excellent theater and nothing if not sincere.

(Under the circumstances, I chose to ignore Wagner's several barbs aimed at "y'all" in the media.)

Gordon Damer has left 1050 to do sports on WCBS. Could this possibly make him a leading candidate for "the sidekick" spot in the afternoon?

CMG, I don't understand that. It doesn't make sense to me how he could go from hosting to updates. (I assume?) Higher pay?

First off RB, I asked Neil. Second of all, 1050 dropped his show. Third of all, he does have a hosting gig on YES with that NFL show.

Yeah it does not make sense. Daimer was one of the only worth listening to on 1050.
