Cardinals are no match for Brett Favre's six-shooter
Brett Favre's team-record-tying six touchdown passes Sunday reminded me of a school assignment at East Northport JHS in September of 1972.
We were supposed to find a newspaper headline that was not designed to be taken literally, and would mean something different if it were read that way.
My choice came from the back page of Newsday, which heralded the first six-TD effort in team annals:
