Tony Kornheiser will skip MNF preseason finale
Tony Kornheiser will not be working the final MNF preseason game in San Diego Monday night, but before you nice people start sending me e-mails wondering whether he has been ousted from the booth, it's only because of a relatively minor surgical procedure.
(Well, minor for me, since I'm not the one undergoing it.)
Lynbrook Tony is due back for the regular-season opener. Given the fact Monday's game is in San Diego and Kornheiser is not a fan of planes, I'm guessing he's not broken up about missing it.

I give Kornheiser credit for toning it down and not try to make jokes but then again it is the pre-season. It also helps that Jaws is not laughing at every line TK says.
One problem, Mike Tirico is talking way too much. I think the radio gig has gone to his mind since not even TK is getting the last word and the whole point of color analysts is to talk.
Mike: Bayside and Binghamton? You should have followed Tirico to Syracuse so you could have maintained the orange theme. I assume Bayside is still orange? They were in the late '80s. Or was that Cardozo. I don't know.
