Congratulations to the Northport Community Band and its great founder/director, Robert Krueger, still going strong at 81, on the occasion of its 50th anniversary season.
The band celebrated the occasion (and Krueger) with a banquet Wednesday, then publicly Thursday by concluding the season with another concert in the bandstand in the park by the harbor . . . which is nicer than your bandstand or park of harbor, if we do say so ourselves.
I played with the alumni band. The notes looked much smaller than they used to.

Neil, you are so right about the band, bandstand, park, harbor, etc. They did a nice job restoring the bandstand, don't you think? You are one of Northport's favorite sons.
Wow. Thanks, Jim. Maybe in 50 years I'll get a key to the village like Bob Krueger did.
