Speaking of the Jets and Hofstra, I had my first opportunity to see the team's new facility in Florham Park, N.J., Thursday and let me say this about that:
It appeared to be an extremely active construction zone. Is Gang Green really moving in Sept. 2? Jets executive VP Matt Higgins insisted to me Friday the big switch is on as scheduled.
Someone give Brett a hard hat!
(Yes, Brett used to wear a black jersey. Remember, young fans, he played for a team before the Packers.)
