Cablevision customers can get Olympic video after all

shhh.jpgYa know how I told you last week that Cablevision had not signed on for NBC's premium Olympics package, thus denying its broadband customers the 2,200 hours of live on-line video being made available at NBCOlympics.com?

Well, now I'm going to tell you something else I discovered, but let's keep it between us, shall we?

If you are a Cablevision customer and go to NBCOlympics.com and click on "video" and simply tell the system when prompted that you subscribe to DirecTV or any of the other authorized outlets, you're in.

Simple as that. The site has no means of verifying what company you actually are affiliated with.

I watched the international feeds of badminton and fencing this Friday night.

Enjoy. There are more than 2,000 hours of this stuff left.
