Giants' weekly preview show moves to WNBC-TV
The Giants' weekly, team-produced preview show will move this season from Sunday mornings on Ch. 5 to Saturday nights on Ch. 4.
It had been on Ch. 5 since its inception in the mid-1990s.
"Giants GameDay" will air from 7 to 7:30 p.m., featuring the usual suspects, including Bob Papa, Carl Banks, Tom Coughlin and VP of communications Pat Hanlon yelling at people on the "Giants On-Line" segment.
(I used to be on "GOL" when it was a stand-alone program on MSG and later YES. Then I left the beat, and later started blogging. Now no one recognizes me at airports anymore.)
Ch. 4 will show two Giants preseason games this summer, against the Lions Aug. 7 and the Patriots Aug. 28 in a Super Bowl rematch the teams won't care at all about, because no one takes the final preseason game seriously.
But season ticketholders have to pay for a ticket to it anyway.

neil, what is channel 5 showing at 11:30am on sundays in it"s place?
"GOL" jumped the shark when you left, Neil. Now the MSG guy...can't remember his name now...just says anything to get on Hanlon's nerves even though it is completely stupid. I can just see him now on the first show. "Sure you won the Super Bowl, but what have you done for me lately?!?!?!"....Skins 27 Giants 21.
Cable guy: I don't know!
I take it the Giants/Jets game will only be on WCBS?
Neil
I'll take it seriously! This is the payback! This is like opening day in 05 with Sox-Yanks! This is Payback...
Ok, in honesty it isn't....I have to get over it. I'm still mad at Desmond Howard....
Why was Parcells kicking it to him?
Ray
I kinda of figured it was moving since the NFLN press release about Bob Papa said he hosted in on WNBC. The Sunday morning time slot didn't work for us season ticket holders.
And yes Neil, GOL isn't the same without you.
