In addition, the Rangers will host Pacific Division opponents – Anaheim, Dallas and Phoenix – and will travel to meet – Anaheim, Dallas, Los Angeles, and San Jose.

In addition, the Rangers will play seven home games on Sundays, seven on Tuesdays, six on Wednesdays, four on Thursdays, two on Fridays, and six on Saturdays during the season.

If the trend continues, Graves' jersey night will be in January. Only a few home games in January:

Mon Jan 5, 2009 v. Penguins 7:00 PM ET
Wed Jan 7, 2009 v. Canadiens 7:30 PM ET
Tue Jan 20, 2009 v. Ducks 7:00 PM ET
Tue Jan 27, 2009 v. Hurricanes 7:00 PM ET

I'm guessing the Ducks would be the least draw (if that's possible with constant sellouts...) so I'd put good money on Jan. 20th being Graves' night.

Then again, with the later start time for the Habs game... it could be that one.

I was willing to put my money on Graves Night against Vancouver considering it had some significance (Like Messier we played Edmonton) maybe not since its early in the year

BTW, Sjostrom fans, I just looked at his pathetic stats, here they are:

in 289 NHL games 76 points

in 105 AHL games 48 points

in 130 WHL games 133 points

in 36 SEL games 5 points

This guy sucks, Rico Fata's speed, stats, hitting and skill blow Shoestring away.

See bob the thing you don't realize is where Sjostrom was playing before he came over here, and what line he was playing on once he got here. He played on a Phenoix team where the only time they found the net easily was against a Ranger team who looked terrible. he played in the AHL with Prospects of the Coyotes. And once he got here he played with Hollweg Betts and Orr, which none of them are fantastic playmakers or snipers and don't know what to do with the puck once they have it (unless they have Shanahan's Stick).

He wasn't impressive in WHL, he sucked in AHL, and it should have stopped there and he should have went playing in Europe, he is nothing special--basically a Jason Ward clone at best.

It's hard to predict when Graves' night might be. Aside from the Rangers, he played with Detroit, Edmonton and San Jose. The Ranger years were the standout years, of course. Neither Detroit nor San Jose are visiting us next year, so if it's not Edmonton on Nov 10, then some other date will be picked arbitrarily, probably based on availability of the many guests that would be expected.

Both Friday games are in October...

SUCKS!

Congrats Hanny, You win the prize. (lol). We have Dallas and Detroit three times, wow. Will need to adjust my NAMBLA and AA schedule for weekday games. Looks good, overall.

DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THERES GONNA BE ANYWAY WE CAN WATCH THE GAMES IN PRAGUE.

i believe the prague games are going to at least be televised by msg and possibly vs or nbc

Im also wondering if the game against Metallurg Magnitogorsk is televised. Thats going to be fun to watch.

It's going to be a LONG year watching this lazy ensemble of Mr. Softies try to find "chemistry". Great job Glen. For whoever thinks otherwise, I think you are delusional. The Rangers of this year are a nice blend of has-been veterans, soft "stars", and youngsters with minimal upside. Thanks for letting the one guy who made them play above their limited potential get away (Avery). This team is boring. So long playoffs, hello lottery!

Honestly, I only read every so often, but bob, you are a moron. I don't think you have any idea of what you're talknig about. Rico Fata sucks, so don't compare Sjostrom to him. There was a reason he was drafted 11th overall. Phoenix was never good, and he never did good there. I'm not expecting him to be a top line player, but he has skill. Whether or not he gets it together is anyone's guess, but to say that he has no skill is idiotic....

Also, I love how all of a sudden we're a "soft" team when we lost Jagr, Straka, Backman/Malik, and Shanny (who was by no means a physical force last year). Granted Avery was tough, but he did spend a long time injured, so he can't be too tough. We will miss him though. And now, all of a sudden, our youngsters have minimal upside. What a joke! They are the same kids as last year, everyone loved them last year. And we have the same blend of veterans and youngsters as last year, and we got younger.

Some people should pay attention before bashing the team..

The reason Sjostrom was drafted 11th overall is because Gretzky and crew suck at drafting and just about everything else. Fata was drafted 6th overall. Sjostrom sucks, dump him we already got a logjam without him.

I like the schedule and there is no doubt that one of those two games will be televised by VS...this is why they arranged it in the 1st place...to "showcase" the NHL in Europe. Finishing against the Flyers is gonna be fun...only wish we didn't play on Monday nights...TG for PIP w/MNF on. With regard to Sjostrom...he was never really put on a decent line for a long time....this year, I fully expect he, Dawes and Prucha to shine and have a big year...again, Slats needs to find a Big D to clear the crease for Hendrik...I just cannot believe he didn't aquire one yet...too bad Orpik resigned w/the Penguins-that's the kind of D we need to make the team a bonifide "strong" team....and one last thing...losing Avery hurt the most.
