This right here makes things so much more exciting again!

I will be counting down the minutes to Weds @ 7pm.

Lets Get It ON!!!

WIN!

sabres in 5

Steve Avery the savior in NY?? Please...he's a bum!

With Avery in the lineup maybe we'll see Peters.. Avery's the Rangers version of the toy tiger.

OK, Terrific!

Great job stooge!

His name is Sean, so you were saying?

Hi Guys...buffalo guy living in nyc... still smarting from supe 25... Good luck and may the best team win...no predictions here...While I have been waiting over 35 years for my moment, let me say that a defeat to NYR would only be palatable if NYR beat eitehr Ott or NJ. God, I can't stomach another SC in NJ where nobody sees their games.

Sweeeeet! I can't wait for this series! I think this should be a great matchup to watch. I'd like to see Hollweg out there indeed. He at least deserves a shot to see if he can have an impact without causing penalties.

I think the Miller vs. Lundqvist matchup is going to be historic. Two great young goaltenders and some great offensive skill players to give them hell. Awesome.

I think this series will go down to the wire. I've got nothing bad to say about the Sabres at this point. They are a great team with great coaching... of course my thoughts will probably change once the puck drops on Wednesday night.

Let's Go Rangers!

People need to understand, Avery is not a fighter, he's an agitator and a damn good one at that. The point is, he's done a great job as a NYR, maybe he can make a new name for himself? Peters can take on Orr if he really wants a fight. Rangers in 6!

Wait a minute - aren't the NY Rangers another one of those 'We got one, maybe two super skaters on this team and they will carry us all the way to the Finals?'

Gimme a break - has-beens and never-were's.

Four lines of offensive hockey, six, seven and eight players deep. Your Jagr of yesterdays are our Pominville's and Connolly's of today.

Sabres in five - easy.

I have nothing but respect and admiration for the Buffalo Sabres. They are a thrill to watch these past few years. As a Ranger fan, I'd like to win, but I'm really just looking forward to a good, hard-fought series. Do we really need more of this sniping at each other?

Can't we have some legitimate, friendly discussion now that most of the haters have turned their TVs off?

(This is for you "Paul Gaustad," in case there's any confusion.)

Connolly,

He plays two games in the regular season and manages 3 assists against the Islanders and now he is better than Jagr. YEAH OK.

Why don't we see him stay healthy for a few more games before we start saying he is better than a hall of famer who had 96 points in the regular season and was completely dominant in the first round.

I can't wait for this series to start. All the of the Ranger/Sabre games this season were pretty close. The Islanders proved that they are beatable so the Rangers definitely have a strong chance.

Lets Go Rangers and may my playoff beard grow longer!

This post and ESPN have contradicting reports of when Game 5 is. ESPN says Friday, May 4th.

Well, we won't be in awe of the Sabres Stanley Cup banners, that's for sure. They're still crying about Brett Hull's goal. Let's Go Rangers!

Regarding Connolly, from TSN:

On Monday, Tim Connolly left early because of tightness in his hamstring, which shouldn't keep him out of Game 1, but head Coach Lindy Ruff doesn't feel Connolly is ready for 19 minutes of ice time just yet. - TSN

OK, lets stop with the Connolly nonsense and considering him a factor.
