A few things about the Girls Soccer Insider.
Why do we have to hear about players from League VIII. That leauge is for non-competitive teams who have no chance for the playoffs. They do not play on a level playing field. I believe it's unfair to the girls in the other leauge who are succeeding and working just as hard against more compeitive teams.
How is that North Babylon continues to go widely unnoticed in Class AA. Based on Ward Melville's tie against Sachem East and common opponents North Babylon has a very strong and exprienced team. Ward Melville defeated Lindy 2-0 and Sachem East tied them, whereas North Babylon dominated Lindy 6-1 in non-league. Ward Melville and NB are the only undefeated teams left in Class AA. Mattituck is the only other undefeated team in any other Classification.
How is it that NB is ranked below Ward Melville?
Leauge I does not nearly have the depth in their league as League III does. Sachem East has the most goals in Class AA with 33 and North Babylon is second with 31 (four players have 5 goals or more and 1 is a part-time goalie).
St. Anthony's continues to garner a high ranking in the polls. They have played no public schools so it's tough to judge their ability and their league has 4 out of 6 teams under .500.
