Welcome, live to Hofstra for the final state semifinal of the day. Long Island has already had two teams advance to the state championships on Saturday. Can Mt. Sinai make it three? We'll find out. The game will be starting later than the scheduled time. We're about one-half hour away from the start. Be back in a bit with live coverage.

Some interesting stats for this game. Rye has won 21 consecutive games and is 22-2. The losses came against Wantagh and Yorktown, which lost in the semifinals today to Syosset. About five minutes until game time.

10:07 p.m.: Mount Sinai wins 7-1.

10:02 p.m.: Langton scores to increase the lead to 7-1 with 2:28 left.

9:50 p.m.: Going into the day there was talk of Section I being able to win all three games today. Yorktown and John Jay came close. This one will make it a Long Island sweep.
9:52 p.m.: Mt. Sinai has really slowed the pace of the game down. Rye just got an unsportsman like conduct penalty.

9:46 p.m.: Mount Sinai leads 6-1 going into the fourth.

9:42 p.m.: The Mount Sinai defense has been spectacular so far.

9:38 p.m.: Timeout Mt. Sinai with 4:20 left.

9:37 p.m.: Rye scores it first goal. Mount Sinai leads 6-1 with 5:25 left.

9:36 p.m.: James O'Brien scores to extend the Mount Sinai's lead to 6-0.

9:25 p.m.: Mount Sinai still lead 5-0 with 6:00 left in th third.

9:16 p.m.: We're at halftime and Mt. Sinai leads 5-0. An impressive defensive performance by Mt. Sinai, which has been doing this in the last four games. The Mustangs have allowed 17 goals in the last four games. Does Rye have a comeback in them? We've seen a couple already today. Stay tuned.

9:10 p.m.: O'Brien scores on a spin move with 2:32 left to make it 5-0.

9:08 p.m.: Chapman scores unassisted to extend the lead to 4-0 with 3:49 left.

9:07 p.m.: Timeout with 4:39 left as Mt. Sinai leads 3-0.

9:02 p.m.: Hoeg gets stopped by Rix on a breakaway, but the rebound comes right to him and he picks it up and scores. Mt. Sinai leads, 3-0.

9:01 p.m.: Big save by Rix with 6:25 left and he follows with another to stymie Mt. Sinai. Still, 2-0 MS.

9:00 p.m.: A thirty second penalty on Rye for a push. Seven minutes left.

8:57 p.m.: Excellent job by the Mt. Sinai defense. The Mustangs are making it very difficult for Rye to get anything going on offense. Rye takes a timeout to discuss it.

8:51 p.m.: Mt. Sinai takes a 2-0 lead with five seconds left of the first quarter. James Dawson scores off an assist from Eric Balslov. End of 1: Mt. Sinai 2, Rye 0.

8:46 p.m.: Rye takes an illegal check penalty. Mt. Sinai a man-up for one minute.

8:43 p.m.: Mt. Sinai takes a 1-0 lead as Matthew Chapman scores on an assist from Jonathan Hoeg with 5:47 left in the first.

8:42 p.m.: Rye has its chances on offense and two shots go wide.

8:40 p.m.: James O'Brien shot stopped by Rye goalie Matt Rix.

8:37 p.m.: We're underway. Shane Henry hits the crossbar less than a minute into the game for Mt. Sinai.
