Little bit of a surprise here, as SWR finds itself down by two, 7-5, at the half to Nanuet.
SWR has been sloppy throughout the first half, and that was exemplified by the end of the frame, as they allowed a goal with just 4.7 seconds left.
Nanuet's Hannah Frey, who will attend Boston University next season, leads the way with three goals, including a rifle at the 10:59 mark. Her shot was the fastest girls lax shot I have seen all season.
The defending champs from SWR need to clean up their act if they hope to advance to tomorrow's final.
In the other semifinal, Skaneateles (III) is leading Honeoye Falls-Lima (V) at halftime, 9-4.

UPDATE: Well, they needed to turn it up in the second half, and they did. After Nanuet tallied the first goal of the second half, SWR went on an 9-0 run to earn a 14-8 victory.
Michelle Verbeeck was shaky in the first half, but made eight key saves in the second to lead her team.
Kait Brosco, Kaitlin Rochler and Stephanie Anderson each scored two goals in the second half, while Erica DeVito dished out three of her game-high four assists in the second half.
SWR will play Skaneateles, a 16-8 victor over Honeoye Falls-Lima, in tomorrow's final at noon.
