Players of the Week

Since it was championship week and there were plenty of impressive performances, three players from each county will be rewarded this week.
Nassau Players of the Week
Courtney Breen (Hicksville): The senior had 29 points, including six in overtime for Hicksville in a 64-58 win over Calhoun in the Nassau Class AA final. She scored 17 points in a 58-35 semifinals win over Syosset.
Ericka Re (Floral Park):Re scored the winning shot on a runner off the glass with 11 seconds left in a 44-43 win over Westbury in the Nassau Class A final. She scored 14 of her 19 points in a 22-12 fourth quarter for Floral Park. She scored 12 points in the semifinals.
Shemique Hooks (Westbury): What a performance by Hooks in the Nassau Class A final. She scored 32 points, including eight three-pointers in a 44-43 loss to Floral Park.
Suffolk Players of the Week
Eugeneia McPherson (North Babylon): The junior played well in the postseason last year and she is doing it again. McPherson scored 33 points in a 63-54 win over Sachem East in the Suffolk Class AA final. She scored 23 points in a 54-34 win over Hampton Bays in the Suffolk Overall championship.
Bria Hartley (North Babylon): The sophomore scored 20 points in the Suffolk Class AA final and scored 23 points in the Suffolk overall championship.
Terry Green (Holy Trinity): The junior had 17 points and 14 rebounds in a 55-42 CHSAA semifinal win over St. Anthony's. She grabbed some key rebounds in a 17-6 fourth quarter, including one on a missed free throw leading to a three-pointer by Julia Finlay that gave Holy Trinity a four-point lead midway through the quarter.
