Gibson out at least a week

Copiague junior guard Gabrielle Gibson is out at least a week with a severely sprained right ankle. Gibson rolled her ankle early in the third quarter in a 53-48 loss to North Babylon last night.

Gibson, who had 13 first-half points, is undergoing physical therapy. Copiague plays Manhattan Center on Sunday at JFK in the Bronx in a matchup of two outstanding junior points guards with Ieasia Walker for Copiague and China Crosby of Manhattan Center.
