In what was a long drive, Bethpage finally got its offense on track. Joe Miceli capped a 17-play, 80-yard drive that lasted 9:16 with a 3-yard scoring run. Kevin Glueckert scored the two-point conversion.

It was another dose of Bethpage's multi-headed rushing attack early in the drive, but the Golden Eagles surprised everyone as Ed Conway hit Glueckert with a 21-yard scoring pass with 1:16 left in the half.

Wantagh's decision to defer until the second half backfired as it fumbled on the second play of the half. Bethpage's Kyle Eskridge recovered.
