Ryan Creighton scored nine of his game-high 28 points during a 14-2 fourth-quarter run, but he missed a potential game-tying three at the buzzer as Greenport fell, 61-58, to Chateaugay in a Class D semifinal at the Glens Falls Civic Center.
Trailing 56-44 with 3:33 left, Creighton (9) and Wally Sorenson (3) combined for 12 of Greenport's 14 points during the run. But Zack Peck and hit a layup and Jordan Rankin connected on a free throw to give the Bulldogs (23-1) a 61-58 advantage with 8.2 seconds left. Creighton had one last chance to tie the score, but missed on a three from the right wing as time expired. Greenport falls to 20-3.
