Sebastian Telfair (Lincoln, 2,785), Kenny Anderson (Archbishop Molloy, 2,621) and Kenny Wood (East Hampton, 2,613), New York State's top three all-time leading scorers, could have some company if Greenport junior Ryan Creighton has his way. Creighton eclipsed the 2,000-point plateau last week and has 2,033 on the season. With at least one more game (the Southeastern Class D Regional Final), Creighton should end the season north of 2,050 points.
Ironically, Creighton's coach, Al Edwards, is Greenport's all-time leading scorer with 2,117 points. Edwards is fifth all-time on Long Island behind Wood, Bobby Hodgson (Floyd, 2,532), Greg Cerillo Jr. (Faith Academy, 2,320) and Gary Williams (Bay Shore, 2,125).
