The storm clouds moved back in and settled over Nassau County. Fifty-eight minutes into practice, the sirens went off, signaling lightning was in the area and everyone, basically, get the heck off the field. Not sure what's next in terms of heading into the bubble or whatever. Like Brett Favre, the situation is in a bit of a holding pattern. Pretty good crowd, btw, that showed up for the practice, given the weather.
UPDATE: practice to continue in the bubble, which is where we're headed shortly.

The English language is such an interesting thing:
"According to Favre, Thompson asked him if he was interested in a trade. "Yeah, but not just to the teams you want me to go to," Favre said, relaying his conversation with the Packers' GM."
As written, I would interpret it as a request for more choices. But, did he really mean the following?:
"Yeah, but just not to the teams you want me to go to, Favre said, relaying his conversation with the Packers' GM."
Interesting how changing the order of just two words changes the meaning to "not interested in those two teams at all".
I translate the Favre comment that he does not want to be a Jet.
I do not want him as a Jet either. I prefer a healthy Chad over Favre anytime.

Too bad practice was cut short to the public today. But without seeing the 11 on 11's Chad continues to outplay Kellen who seems to be regressing. But in defense of Kellen he did that last year and then he started to play well in the preseason games vs the 2nd and 3rd units. Chad is the starter and enough already with all the Favre talk. It is starting to become a distraction.Clowneyseems to catch 1 or 2 long passesevery practice. He will be tuff to cut.
