Erik, Thanks for the HOF info. Good to see the camp dates but they really need to release the entire camp schedule so fans can make plans.

C'mon EB, you couldn't get a pic of flight crew weight room sessions? I thought you were in "the circle of trust?"

Agreed, Ira. I'm not sure the competitive advantage of not releasing the full schedule.

DKnyj, well, not in that circle as much as anyone would like. Still only June, though.

If only you were in the FlightCrew Circle as much as IRA is in the Joe B. circle! IRA (if this indeed "THE IRA" - as a younger, more positive fan - just wanted to thank you for portraying us Jets fans in a good, POSITIVE light. Gotta love Joe B. but his pessimism and anxiety is an infectious disease and I will have none of it.

I am so sick of the disrespect (see Pete Prisco's Top 50 players in the NFL - http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/story/10877567 - Kerry Rhodes? Faneca? C'mon, the NFL is not the NBA!) and it all starts with Older Jets fans defeatism. Leave it at home or pass on your Season Tix... and PSL :-(

AP is only 15? That is absurd. Most of the guys in the top 10 are only there for their last season effort...and the leading rusher, as a rookie, who also set the most yards in a game doesn't breach top 10? It is for this reason that these top 50 lists are absurd. Albert Haynesworth? Really? Carson Palmer? Let's be honest, Palmer isn't the 3rd best QB in the league because he EARNED it...he just kinda fell in there since the talent pool after Peyton and Brady is so slim.

Oh, and the fact that Rhodes isn't on there, but he mentions Adrian Wilson as just missing while ED REED??? and Bob Sanders got prominent positions? Please. Reed isn't anywhere near what he used to be and Sanders can't play a full season.

I'd love to see us hit the playoffs this year...but I've got a feeling even that wont get us no respect

DKnyj,
Thanks man. Joe B is one of the greatest Jets fans. He is just shell shocked from some bad years. I can't be that way. Since Parcells took over in 1997 this team has been one of the better teams in the league.Have they come of short? Yes but they have been to the playoffs 5 of those 11 years since Parcells turned around this franchise.1999,03,05 they were a playoff team that lost their starting QB for most or the entire season. 1997 and 2000 they are playing the last game of the year to get into the playoffs.Even 1999 they made a nice run once Parcells settled on Lucas as the QB. He should've gone to him earlier. This year if they can get some good production from the QB spot they will be in the playoffs. All the other pieces are in place. GO JETS!!!!

I love going to Hofstra and watching practices. That's what hurts the most about the Jersey sellout.

Erik: Thank you for the info.

A favor: can you write an article on the Jets horrid defensive start the first two seasons under Mangini querying Mangini, Sutton & Co about it? Two years, two horrible starts, both times turned around after the bye week around week 8 when the defense came out blitzing, aggressive, flying.

This has been one of the weaknesses of the team under Mangini: the defensive scheme comes out seemingly vanilla and/or lacking a sense of urgency and aggression.

"injured veterans report July 20".

Ya think the media will be privy to who these "injured veterans" are?

JetsLife, yes, that is definitely a story I'll be writing when we get into training camp. Not question, it has been striking the difference in the defense between the first half of the season and the second.

are-tee, haha. The short answer: um, no.
