Jets represented in Super Bowl XLII

By Tom Rock

Only problem is they're playing for other teams.

Caught up with Ray Ventrone and Rashad Moore in the Pats' locker room today. "I thought you looked familiar," Moore said to me when I re-introduced myself. You spend 45 minutes a day hovering around a guy for four months, I guess you make an impression.

Anyway, the Giants also have a former Jet in Danny Ware. I asked Ventrone, who was cut by the Jets and signed to the practice squad early in the season before he was axed from that list too, if he and Danny were training camp and practice squad buddies. He didn't really answer me. Neon Ray said they knew each other and he's focused on this game and the opportunity and not looking anywhere else. No wonder the Pats keep bringing this guy back -- he's pre-lobotomized.

It was a few weeks ago when I caught up with Ware in the Giants locker room. He lingered on the Jets practice squad for a few months before he bolted for the Giants and an active roster spot. As you can imagine, he was all smiles and laughs when we spoke. Come to think of it, so was I. I guess this is what it's like when two guys get out of prison and meet up with each other on the outside.

I think I had both Ventrone and Ware on my roster pool coming out of training camp. Do I get extra points if they both play in the Super Bowl?

So does this mean we'll soon see, "TR resigns as NYJ BW for N"? Your anti-Jets "humor" is soooo booring.

I'm sure the Kraft family will have an opening for you.
