Another Coach Bolts
By Tom Rock
The Arizona Cardinals announced Richie Anderson as their new tight ends coach today, leaving yet another subtle hole on the Jets coaching staff. Separately these departures may not mean much – Corwin Brown left as a defensive backs coach earlier this month to become defensive coordinator at Notre Dame – but it’ll be interesting to see how the team’s personality changes with the departure of all those Parcells/Belichick Guys. Apparently those are also Ken Whisenhunt Guys as well, as there’s also some noise that Bryan Cox will be on his way to Arizona and Maurice Carthon, also of that tree, was hired as a running backs coach.

What is the deal with all these coaches bolting?
After all the success the Jets had last year, why would these guy's want to leave? Wouldn't they want to stay with Mangini and continue building what seems to be a good thing.
I understand Brown leaving for a promotion at Notre Dame, but Anderson leaving and maybe Cox to go out to Arizona, I don't get that.
Any word on if we've hired anyone to replace the coaches that have left?
These guys are moving from assistant position coaches to full fledged position coaches and Brown is getting a coordinators position.
Actually, it is nice that we have a HC who is hiring guys that others want to promote. If he keeps it up ( ;-) we might start hearing about the Mangini tree.

doesn't make sense- leave new york as running backs coach to become tightend coach, or linebackers coach to become, linebackers coach. I'm wondering also why these guys are all leaving. Maybe they don't like the mangini system? Or maybe he doesn't like them?
Also, are there any black coaches left? Is this a 'black thing'?
