They're very casual in the Pacific Northwest
Just got off the call with Mike Holmgren in which he noted that last week during the bye the team had player-run practices that sounded like they were optional (although he said there was almost 100 percent attendance). He even said he gave the coaches the week off, but if any of them were sticking around they were allowed to go out and help in the workouts which were run by Matt Hasselbeck and Lofa Tatupu.
I'd never heard of that. Can't imagine Coughlin doing something like that.
On another semi-odd note, Holmgren said he's preparing for the game unconvinced that Plaxico Burress will not play.
