The great debate (WR not VP)

No, not the one that just ended between Palin and Biden. I'm talking about who is better equipped to be the Giants' fourth WR this week with Plaxico benched for the game.

Mario Manningham?

Sinorice Moss?

Here's the story I wrote on it for tomorrow's paper on tonight's website. But I'm kind of curious to get the temperature of the readers on who should get the bulk of the playing time when the Giants go 4WR. Both candidates made it sound like they should be the guy.

What do you think?

This week? Moss.

In a week or two? Manningham.

This week, I woud say Moss. Has a better understanding of the offense, better relationship with Eli....etc.

Although I am curious to see Manningham in action, I still really like Moss. He is one of the fastest players on the team, and anytime you see him make a catch you'll noticed the DB giving a good amount of space b/c they are covering the deep route because they respect his speed.

We all saw him make some big plays in preseason, specially down the field. If not catching the ball, he's getting pass interference on the defense, which is just as good.

I would like to see him more involved in the offense, and this is probably the best chance for him to show the coaches why he should be involved.

Although I realllllly want to see what Super Mario has in a real game, it's finally time for Moss to sink or swim . Hopefully as a worst case scenario he can build his trade value. Roy Williams anyone?

P.S. I am not implying that the Lions would trade for Moss alone, so don't freak out.

Moss:

The guy needs to show he can make plays. His job is on the line. Either way, though, it's Amani, Smith and Hixon who will get the bulk of catches. Moss and/or Manningham is window dressing at this point.

Yeah, it's gotta be Moss.

Hopefully the run a couple plays specifically for him. He was pretty good on those hook routes last year. But maybe throw in something different like some deep routes, a screen, or reverse would be good too. But that might be too unpredicatable for Gilbride.

Gotta be Moss.

Maybe the D won't key on the plays the Giants have run for him, if he's just filling a role w/o plays called for him (WR end around that EVERYONE sees coming with him in).

Manningham was hurt in preseason, and sick this week anyways.
