Tom Brady really does respect the Giants

Last week he said so in a Boston radio interview (during which he dissed a team with four letters in their name -- Rams? Bucs? Pack?) but on Sunday he really went way beyond the call of duty to prove his devotion.

There, sitting next to the Cleveland bench for Game 7 of the NBA Playoff series between the Cavs (another four-letter team!) and the Celtics was America's Quarterback wearing ... a Giants hat!

bradysfcap.jpgOf course it was a baseball Giants hat, black and orange. And those Giants aren't exactly championship timber . But it was a big step for Brady. (Thanks to The Big Lead for snagging the pic!)

I guess he left this cap in Gisele's apartment:

TooBlue wanted to know about media access. On Tuesday we have a locker room session as well as a chat with assistant coaches. We won't see the players on the field until their OTA on June 3. Minicamp is June 11-13.

Thanks for the info Tom.

Tom Brady -- talk about awkward. Although I guess Brady wearing the Yankees cap would hurt more if they were actually good this year.

SF Giants: 17-28
NY Yankees: 20-24

I think Tom needs a new hat.

Funny that Tom Brady respects the Yankees but ESPN isn't too thrilled with the Giants. They were ranked 6th in a recent "power ranking." Tom, any thoughts on this or insight on to how they form these lists? How are they not in the top 1 or 2? Do they really think winning the Superbowl was a fluke?

Hey Tom, I know this may sound a little weird, but with the Giants seeming to be willing to try out troubled players, what do you think about taking a flyer on Odell Thurman. Does that sound like too much, or do you think that with the Giants leadership on the team they may be willing to take a chance.

I listened to the interview and the four letter team he was talking about was the "J-E-T-S"

they went on to say something like

"oh and green and white are their colors" or something to that matter...apparently he doesn't have any respect for his in division rival..

No offense Barry, but I don't think we need Thurman. I'm all for taking chances on guys -- see Ahmad Bradshaw as a success story. But this guy agreed to show up to voluntary workouts in order to catch up and then blew it all off.
How many of us would love to be doing what these guys get to do every day? He had a chance and let it go. No thanks.

well, he WAS born and raised in the san francisco bay area...
