Feagles coming back for season #21

According to a person familiar with the punter's plans, Jeff Feagles will not walk into the sunset with his first Super Bowl ring. He's apparently informed the Giants he'll be back for his 21st season.

Coupled with K Lawrence Tynes about to sign a five-year extension, TC is probably quite pleased that his kicking game and field-goal "operation," as they call it -- that's snapper, holder and kicker -- is intact for another year.

Feagles made $820,000 last season and he will get a decent raise off that deal, according to my source. He signed a two-year deal in 2006, when he seriously considered retirement. He moved his wife and four boys from Arizona to New Jersey in 2006 to cement his commitment.

Feagles was the most emotional Giant in the locker room after the game. He was the same way in Green Bay and in Dallas. He'll be 42 on Mar. 18 and, as much as any punter can be a leader, don't discount the effect he had on the Super Bowl team. He was a part of TC's leadership council and a guy that many of the young special-teamers look up to.

Now, the Giants have 17 days to see about Kawika Mitchell, Gibril Wilson, Reggie Torbor and Derrick Ward.

Have to lock up Mitchell and Wilson

discard Ward..do we really need him??? others especially Mitchell..good trade bait ward?

If some team overpays for gibril wilson like the niners did for clement (not in same ballpark but you know what I mean), I think the Giants will let him go. At a fair price, id love to see him stay. Same goes for Mitchell.

Would love to see the Giants get a free safety via free agency. Butler is not the answer. Too slow.

Rivers from USC or Connor from PSU would be great picks at LB in Aprils draft!

i want to see my beloved giants build something special. Let's win it again next year!!!! let's make the right decisions on free agency (i.e. bring back ward and mitchell. maybe sign a young db). Then let's draft a linebacker, wide reciver, db. and ol.

Wow, one more thing I have been wrong with this year. I NEVER thought Feagles would come back for another year or two. I figured once he won the Super Bowl in his hometown of Arizona, he would retire. I am glad to have him back so this is a pleasant surprise.

Glad to see Feagles back, he is simiply on of the best directional punters around

Would like to see Mitchell come back, Ward too. D. Ward was pretty good during the season, was just injuried too much though. Would be a nice combo with Jacobs/Ward/Bradshaw.

Will be intresting to see what the Giants do, Im not to crazy about Butler, Saftey position needs to be upgraded.

I was a litle skeptical of Jerry Resse the first year (specially offseason, letting go L. Pettiguo, couple LB's), but he has done a hell of a job, and I know that he will put us in the best position

heres a name for the catch. .. "miracle at the 42nd".

also sign mitchell and Reggie T. lets keep a reliable linebacking crew as a whole. we have learned in the past that depth is necessary in this position. The same can be said for Ward- remeber we were only a carry away from having Rueben shoulder the load this year.

Also, Arthur what is Reese's gameplan going into the draft. what are they leaning towards. since it really should be about depth this year.
