A parting gift from Ol' 92?
Michael Strahan had a gift for each of his teammates today: A bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Label with the player's name and "Super Bowl XLII Champions" inscribed on the bottle.
Strahan, who got a call from Osi Umenyiora while chatting with reporters (Osi's in Hawaii for the Pro Bowl), said he didn't know what he was going to do next. I think that meant where he'd be, but it also meant what he's doing next season.
He did promise to tell the Giants what his plans are by next month, but that was before this whole championship thing.
Jeff Feagles said he had no announcements forthcoming. "Not today, anyway," he said.

Nice gift.
If he chooses to retire, I wish him nothing but the best and give all the thanks for a great year and final memories.
Michael Strahan WILL be back. I can sense it. There is no way he'll retire now with the opportunity to defend this championship next season........... No way!
did he also give them a designated driver?
Re: Spags who did a great job.
But is this a coincidence? Tim Lewis was the ONLY assistant coach on his staff that season that Cowher fired at the end of the season. The very next year the Steelers defense regained its old form and the Steelers went 15-1 in regular season. And then the next year the Steelers won the Super Bowl.
Spags takes over nearly the same defense that Lewis had.The very same pass rushing tools. Yet Giants defense greatly improved the very next year just like the Steelers defense did as soon as Lewis was canned. Press in NY never got on Lewis' case like they got on Coughlin, Hufnagel, Gilbride but the problem with the Giants the first 3 years of Coughlin's stay was always the defense NOT the offence or Eli Manning.
Question is? Did Spags move up this defense OR did Lewis drag it down to where it was before?
Arthur,
Thanks, again this year, for all of your hardwork.
I still haven't come down from my Superbowl high - and I don't think I will for a loooong time.
If you ever get the chance, tell Eli about 'us' - the faithful, the one's who always knew he was 'good enough to win a Superbowl.' I wasn't expecting one this year - but I always knew the kid had it in him.
I can't help but wonder what happened to the guy who had all of the problems with accuracy last season - the guy with the bad mechanics... oh nevermind that now.
Thanks,
-Big BB
PS Arthur - I wonder why no one is calling Gilbride to be their head coach? No pro teams; no college teams... what happened to the HC job in Hawaii? I really wish Daniel Snyder would interview Gilbride (and leave Spags alone).
