man that is one long lockerroom!!!You get stuck in there?

Just fooling.. Any updates on the safeties?

thanks..

Whats going on with S.Smith, Arthur?

First he's gonna play, then he's out all of a sudden

Do you know whats going on? did he reinjuried the hami? hope not

Once again, the Giants are proving they are made of glass.

Johnny Unitas shot himself in his middle finger and came out the next day, or that night and threw a 50+ yard TD pass. GET TOUGH.

Sheesh... I would last longer in the season without getting hurt.

God... Why can't we graph their skeleton's with Adamantium. Reality is so lame.

Artie,

Get outta dat locker room and get back to the keyboard. and while you're at it: get off the fence about TC. Sheeesh!!

What in the world is going on with S. Smith?!? I hope he actually plays this Sunday. this is getting damn rediculous. Atleast give the man a chance to play Coughlin. If not then put him on IR and get it over already.......S**T!!

This on Eli from ESPN.com...(I put it here because I wish he were injured and we could see some work from the backups)....

Our panel of experts wasn't impressed with Manning even before the quarterback's four-interception implosion against Minnesota in Week 12.

"I think he's got good skills," said a secondary coach, speaking before the Minnesota game, "but all the other stuff, the intangible stuff, I don't think he has it. He gets scared when you get after him in the pocket. All the things you hate a quarterback to have, he has. And he's not accurate."

Even Giants' general manager Jerry Reese admitted that Manning, 26, had become "skittish" in recent weeks.

"He missed throws in our game," one of the pro scouts said. "There were throws you need to make if you are a front-line guy. He left yards on the field against us."

You wish he were injured? Thats not disturbing at all....

Last time I checked the Giants were 9-4, you dont become that with a bad QB

Is Eli the best? no, but frankly who is these days

Is he good? yes, he moves the chains, converts third downs, and most importantly wins games

Can he be better? sure, but you tell me what player cannot improve

Eli is a good QB, and is under-rated, nobody does play-action better than Eli. He really doesnt get enough credit for his fakes, when you even fake the camera out, your doing something right

Just last week he did a pretty good job facing the eagles blitz, which most QBs have a hard time doing, even the famous Tom Brady had some trouble agiast that very team.

And with the accurate comment, Giants are #2 in drop passes, sometimes you have to look eleswhere than your QB.

Did he have a bad game vs vikings? yes, but every QB has one. Peyton threw 6 picks, Romo had 5, Favre has the record for most picks.

The last thing you want is for him to get hurt, if you would rather have the backup's in rather than your starting QB, you have a problem. He is the starting QB for a reason, he is the best option there

The fact of the matter is he wins games, is anything eles really important?

You're making excuses for a QB who will never be any better than he was three years ago when he took over from Warner.

The good QBs grow into their positions and get better as time goes by. Elway, Aikman, Brady, McNabb all grew.

Then there's Ryan Leaf, Joey Harrington, Tim Couch. Lots of anticipation, but it was all flash, They never got any better. They guy you saw in college, that was as good as he was ever going to be.

And that's Eli Manning.

And you're in denial....

I'll agree with steve b. Eli's is not close to great, but go back and check out the numbers. Those duds never performed nearly as well as Eli has before. Yeah, he's had some crappy games, but he's also had some great games, proving that he does have the ability. Those losers never had games like he had in Dallas this year or philly last year. I'd rather he put it all together and become more consistent. But if you wanna wish ill upon him, then go ahead. I'll just hope my wishes come true and yours do not. If burress was healthy this discussion would not even be happening.

It's good to see people on this blog like Steve B: those who are willing to stick up for our man Eli.

But since everyone likes to compare him to his older brother Peyton, so will I.

The knock on Peyton Manning was always that he didn't like pressure. If you could get to him, you could rattle him and throw him out of his game. That was the strategy the defenses were using to stop him. Then he won the Superbowl.

Here's the world's shortest list: Quarterbacks Who Like To Get Hit.

Over the past few weeks Eli has seen intense pressure and the line has been less than perfect in protecting him. Yet he won two of the past three in the face of intense pressure and well designed blitz packages.

Thanks anyway, but I'm sticking with Eli.

Besides, he gets better every year. Who know what he would do if he had Brady's/Romo's/Peyton's recievers?

-Big BB

Let me add to Big BB: Eli is a Giant great. He will take his place, after rewarding us with many years of top notch play, alongside of Phil, Fran, YA and Charlie. You can not ask for anything more. (Did Artie go back into the locker room?)
