It's only a matter of time before Matt Schaub is benched

There are too many expectations on the Texans for the losing - and the erratic quarterback play - to continue much longer.

Gary Kubiak is sticking with Matt Schaub, but Sage Rosenfels ought to keep the arm loose ... just like Brady Quinn in Cleveland.

Texans-Ravens postponed; AFC North schedule changed

Monday night's Ravens-Texans game in Houston has been postponed until Nov. 9 because of damage to Reliant Stadium inflicted by Hurricane Ike. The league had attempted to secure an alternative site for the game, but simply didn't have enough time to get it done.

Therefore, the league has made some changes to the AFC North teams' schedules. The changes are as follows:

Houston Texans Revised Schedule
Sunday, September 14 Bye
Sunday, October 26 Cincinnati Bengals at Houston Texans
Sunday, November 9 Baltimore Ravens at Houston Texans

(The Texans’ bye has been changed from Sunday, October 26 to Sunday, September 14.)

The Texans’ next two games will take place as scheduled on the road - Sunday, September 21 against the Tennessee Titans at LP Field and Sunday, September 28 against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Jacksonville Municipal Stadium.

Baltimore Ravens Revised Schedule
Sunday, September 14 Bye
Sunday, November 9 Baltimore Ravens at Houston Texans

The Baltimore Ravens’ bye has been changed from Sunday, November 9 to Sunday, September 14.

Cincinnati Bengals Revised Schedule
Sunday, October 26 Cincinnati Bengals at Houston Texans
Sunday, November 9 Bye

The Cincinnati Bengals’ bye has been changed from Sunday, October 26 to Sunday, November 9.

The Texans’ home game against the Cincinnati Bengals originally scheduled for Sunday, November 9 has been rescheduled for Sunday, October 26 at Reliant Stadium at 3:05 PM Houston time (4:05 PM ET).

Ravens-Texans game to be postponed?

Reliant Stadium has sustained damage from Hurricane Ike, which continues to batter Texas, and it appears the Ravens-Texans game that had been pushed to Monday night will be postponed.

What's more, if there is significant damage to the facility, the stadium might not be available to the Texans for several weeks.

More surgery for Andre Johnson

Texans receiver Andre Johnson, pivotal to the team's offense because of his ability to stretch the field with his blazing speed, has undergone another surgical procedure on his troublesome left knee. It's the same knee that gave him problems throughout the 2007 season.

The Texans are cautiously optimistic Johnson will be ready for the start of training camp. But they have shut him down for the remainder of the team's off-season workouts.
