Don't discount the possibility of a Brett Favre trade
The Packers have "welcomed" Favre back and "invited" him to join a competition with Aaron Rodgers for the starting job.
But the possibility of a trade is not dead yet. Thus, it's not a surprise that Bob McGinn of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel - a paper that also employs my younger brother Bill, who once wrote about Lubavitcher Jews tailgating at Packers games - reports that the Packers have sent out feelers to the Vikings that Favre might be available for the right price.
Meanwhile, it will be another day of high drama in the Midwest as Favre reports to camp for a physical and official activation onto the roster. His first chance to practice will be tomorrow, although he's not expected to take part in team drills because he hasn't worked with the team since throwing an interception in the NFC Championship Game against the Giants.
