Williamson about to be dealt to Jags

The Vikings pulled off a shocker in the 2005 draft, taking wide receiver Troy Williamson with the seventh overall pick out of South Carolina. The Vikings' coach at the time: Mike Tice.

But after three disappointing seasons punctuated by numerous dropped passes, Williamson is on the way out in Minny. He's about to join the Jaguars. And Tice.

The Jags will ship a sixth-round pick to the Vikings in exchange for Williamson. Tice is the Jaguars' assistant head coach. He was fired by Minnesota after Williamson's rookie season.

Taken after Williamson:

DeMarcus Ware
Shawne Merriman
Jammal Brown
Marcus Spears
Vincent Jackson
And about 100 other guys the Vikiings would have better benefitted from.

Glauber for Vikings Coach 2009! Keep Kevin Rogers on the payroll when you get there, though.
