Pirates closer Matt Capps will miss two months with a shoulder injury. He had an MRI on his right shoulder and has bursitis and tightness. Capps opened the season with 15 straight saves before blowing a save on June 20. He blew five of his last seven chances, including the last two games. Damaso Marte is the favorite for saves and should be picked up in all leagues. The Pirates recalled outfielder Steven Pearce, who hit .259 in Triple-A. He could be useful if he gets consistent playing time, but that likely won't happen unless a trade is made.

Hey Adam,
Someone just picked up Romulo Sanchez in my league (instead of Marte). Also, he dropped Taylor Buchholz to pick him up. I'm a Fuentes owner. Should I drop Fuentes to pick up Buchholz? Or Marte? It seems pretty certain that he's going to get traded anyway. Thoughts?
He now dropped Sanchez for Marte... but Buchholz is on waivers. Should I go after him? Do you think Corpas gets back into the mix when/if Fuentes gets dealt?
It's a tough decision with Fuentes. I'd hold him for now. Sometimes when someone is definitely rumored to get traded, it never happens. Buchholz would become the closer. Corpas is just too inconsistent. Then again, the Rockies invested four years in him and if they do trade Fuentes and are out of contention, they might try and give Corpas another shot. I own Fuentes and I am holding him at this time.
