Another Luis Castillo injury as his power stroke arrives. He left tonight's game with a left hip flexor. Tell me why the Mets signed him for four years??
Hanley Ramirez left tonight's game with a left thumb contusion.
The Red Sox placed Dice-K on the 15-day DL with a right rotator cuff strain. Justin Masterson or Clay Buchholz could be called up to take his place.
The Angels placed Chone Figgins on the 15-day DL with a right hamstring injury retroactive to May 22. Rob Quinlan and Brandon Wood will play third in his absence. Howie Kendrick was activated from the DL.
The Indians placed DH Travis Hafner on the 15-day DL with a right shoulder strain retroactive to May 26.
Rangers third baseman Hank Blalock underwent surgery on his right wrist as a result of carpal tunnel syndrome. What's next, an anal fissure? He will miss another month.
Ryan Zimmerman was out for the fourth consecutive game with a shoulder injury. He could take batting practice tomorrow.
Aaron Hill didn't play after suffering a mild concussion in yesterday's game. He is day-to-day, and Ryan Church has too and he hasn't played for several games. Church jogged and shagged fly balls today. He hasn't started since May 20.
The A's placed DH MIke Sweeney, outfielder Ryan Sweeney and reliever Joey Devine on the 15-day DL. Carlos Gonzalez, Travis Buck and Kiko Calero will replace them.
The Braves placed outfielder Mark Kotsay on the 15-day DL with back soreness. Outfielder Josh Anderson was called up from Triple-A.
Eric Byrnes had an MRI that revealed tears in both hamstrings. Speed is a big part of his game, so don't expect much this season.
J.D. Drew was out of tonight's lineup with vertigo.

Hafner was dropped in my league. Then picked up. I am plagued by injuries at the moment, but say when he comes off the DL, you think he'll be a good buy low?
I'd be worried about Hafner. His shoulder is very weak right now and he's been striking out a lot and hitting a lot of ground balls. He's already taken two cortisone shots. It depends on what you give up, but I wouldn't bet on Hafner having a big year if his shoulder plagues him.
I have Meche and G Floyd in my rotation and I'm not overwhelemed by either. Some notable SP's on waivers include Guthrie, Myers and Arroyo to name a few. You think I should hold onto Meche and Floyd or pick up one of those three?

Of the three free agents, I like Myers the most. He has the most potential of the three. I'd try and trade Floyd. His value is high right now. I wouldn't release him. I'd shop him first and see what you can get. I don't think he continues what he does. You should be able to get something good for him at this point.
