Joe Namath 'pleasantly surprised' by Brett Favre's play
What, you were expecting Brett Favre to start 4-0? Fat chance!
That was essentially Joe Namath's message regarding the start of the Favre Era in Jets history. Don't tell Namath you're disappointed by Favre's 2-2 start, because this is not just about Favre. "He's spectacular," Namath said, "but he needs teammates to help, too."
Namath was speaking just before the start of his March of Dimes charity golf tournament at Bethpage State Park.
