Honestly, do you think we obtain a major free agent in 2010? I don't, but Knick fans seem to base all our moves off freeing cap space for that year when we just need to focus on improving for our future in other ways.

doesn't it make more sense to keep marbury on the payroll until the deadline?
what if Denver wants to blow it up and Carmelo/Camby are offered for expiring contracts.
wouldn't a Marbury/Rose plus say Chandler and a future pick make sense for us?

Historically, do some of the non draftee, non roster summer league team members actually make it into the NBA based on their performance in summer league?
11:41 That's rare. Most of those guys are fillers who are glad for the experience. It is an opportunity to be seen by NBA scouts, Europe scouts and maybe earn an invite to an NBA training camp. But we're talking longshot. I haven't been around long enough to recall a guy who blew people away enough in summer league to earn a roster spot. I think at most it earns a training camp invite.

That's only if Stephon Marbury and Zach Randolph are gone. Wilson Chandler becomes a solid starting SF and Danilo Gallinari challenges for ROY. And the team has to play D.
I don't expect all of these to happen so I'll say 30-52.
What's the likelihood of getting Okafor in a sign and trade? I think a thrid team would have to be involved given the Larry Brown connection, but would gladly throw David Lee in with Randolph to get it done. Is such a scenario out of the realm of possibility?
