Game just ended...
Danilo Gallinari started with more fouls (4) than points (0) but after missing his first five shots, Gallo hit five his final six shots and finished with good numbers: 14 points and 6 rebounds.
Wilson Chandler led the Knicks with 26 points and 8 rebounds. Anthony Roberson had 22 points and hit 8 of 19.
Some kind of craziness must have been coming out of Steph when he jumped on MSG Network in the final minutes of the game. Fixers, someone give a report....
Will check in after player availability....

I'm Glad the Rooster had a decent 2nd half....but
in reality...didn't Demtrius Nichols have a much better
start to summer league last year?
Marbury said he weighs 208 and is already in basketball shape. He's just relaxing and "staying inside his head". He's getting ready to go to another camp to get in better shape. He understands that basketball is a business, respects Walsh, and just wants to get back to playing basketball somewhere in the event he is bought out. He didn't sound too crazy.....for Marbury
In light of the incompetence and the numerous times he failed to report a story, let's hope Mr. Zell gives Al Hahn the BillyPacker before turning the keys to the place over to Charlie Donlan's punk.
Packer's a racist redneck from Tobacco Road.
Hahn's simply incompetent.
i thought Gallo played really good in the 2nd half
he looked a little nervous in the 1st
but i like what i saw
13 pts and 6 rebounds in 22 minutes
once he relaxed he showed some good moves
good handle for 6'9 forward, smooth jumper.
overall i thought a good first game...
plus we won
Marbury seemed relaxed
and said he would play for any team he is on next year
he did not say anything controversial.
oh yeah...he mentioned some basketball
camp he attending in las vegas
He didn't sound too crazy.....for Marbury

Sometimes cancer goes into remission...but it more than often returns with a vengence!
Caught Steph on MSG. He was begging for his job. Just pleading with the new boss not to boot his sorry butt out of town.
Downright pathetic.
Steph destroys four clubs, sexually harasses women at the Garden, sees his company of junk clothing choke the chicken, and now he's resorted to debasing himself to keep his Knicks' gig.
What's next? Steph plan on serving as a tomato can for Jose Canseco, another chronic Me-First Loser.
Book it. Steph will declare bankruptcy by 2015.
Wilson Chandler has star potential
great game from Chandler
26 points
that Guard robertson scored 22 pts
that guy can shoot the rock
i hope he makes the roster
(after we dump J.James)
@ matt b's last entry - i agree 100% - this blog is soooo annoying sometimes when you post an entry and you have to go back & reload. i've learned to copy n paste whatever i write now. ...learned the hard way. alan tell the powers that be to up your budget for this thang...or each of us on here gonna have to chip in.
tha rooster looked a lil' shaky early on but in the 2nd half he came on and settled down ...obviously the nerves had a hold of him. he was travelling and getting bodied by tractor-traylor something awful. grade C for game 1.
i saw steff at the end but didn't hear a word he said..that "thing" tattooed on the side of his dome, had my brain in some sort of quagmire & i couldn't focus.

>>>>>>Tough talk from someone anonymous on a blog comment section. Pretty pathetic.
Hey Alan watched the game and Marbury seemed upbeat but definitely does not sound like someone who is convinced he is playing for us!
He said he is happy and is in game shape right now. He also said he is gonna start training in vegas Aug 3rd with some big time trainer( dont know name).
Our man Clyde asked him straight up what he and Donnie have decided to do with him this season. Marbs answered as of right now I'm part of the team but I understand its a business and I'm gonna play!
For some team I will play! I wannna play and am happy cause for sure I will play!
Never seemed comfortable with that question!!
Nichols only excelled in being a shooter. That was pretty much his game. Gallinari looked stale but had moments where you would see his potential. His drives fiercely and has a good jumper to boot. I expect him to gain confidence for the next game. Though that fall he had against that Traylor scared the crap outta me. Hope he is fine for the next game.
Gallo did show up till 2:10 in the 3rd but when he did WOW!! Really nice debut and you can tell thats what he wanted!
Nervous early but this is his first game!! Chandler should pack it up he is PROVEN already! Marty looked most improved ! Him and Q Rich look in great shape for this time of year! Balkman was a little to spazstic but a terror on D and the blocks! Roberson (spell check?) Looks like a shooter!
Was that Tractor Taylor he slimmed down huh?lol
Nice game all in all...........
Galloooooo but Chandler your the man!!!
At least 4 of the Knicks playing today will make the team.
The cav's team out there today? Zero will make that squad...
man we are in for a rough year!
I normally temper my enthusiasm until at least training camp. I try not to get too up or down during summer league, but let me tell you guys something...
I like what I'm seeing.
Chandler has picked up where he left off at seasons end, before the injury.
He kinda looks like he feels insulted to be playing in the summer league...really. He kinda reminds me of the kid that had to play on the JV team in HS to be taught a lesson, but clearly should be STARTING for the Varsity.
Roberson is a keeper...the kid could straight up shoot the ball. I believe he'll wind up being Duhon's backup after Steph is exhiled. They just need to do something with Snax so this kid could get a roster spot.
Last, but not least, Gallo is a player. After a shaky start (and a made jumper...lol), you could see the confidence just oozing out of him.
By mid season, you won't even recognize him. He'll be participating in All-Star weekend.......for the rookie team, of course....lol.
Quiet is kept, don't be surprised if you see him playing that Sunday.
CLARIFICATION:
"Quiet is kept, don't be surprised if you see him playing that Sunday."
SHOULD READ:
"Quiet is kept, don't be surprised if you see him playing that Sunday AT SOME POINT."
Didn't want yall to think I got it twisted or sumthin.
The above poster was me. Damn, this is exhausting!!!
crawford and q sounded like they want marbury gone
Knick fans-
Just watched a Documentary on Cable called "The Year of the Yao". Documented Yao MIng's first year in the NBA. I wasn't a big Yao fan, but my opinon changed after watching this. Making the adjustment to another country and culture is huge. Seeing Yao's game now 5 years later than this film, you can get a real feel for what this rookie Gallinari might be going through. Its not just the Basketball. I liked his post-game comments about getting used to how the refs called the game and what the style of play was before he got going. This kid wasn't drafted to be the savior, just hopefully one eighth of a future 8 man rotation. Seems like he will fit the bill fine.
... Crawford was speaking in codes, but he clearly wants Steph gone ... Q looked to be in great shape ... Steph looked and sounded good too, but he's too connected to Isiah's legacy, to be allowed to stay ... LeBron's gonna be happy to have JJ Hickson on his squad, he's gonna be a draft sleeper ... Gallinari reminds me of a young Tom Gugliotta ... good start for the Knickerbockers ...
If you judged Danilo Gallinari's debut solely on Monday's first half he looked like a lost cause.
Gallinari scored all 14 of his points in a 10-minute span of the Knicks' 97-94 win over a Cleveland Cavaliers team whose most experienced player was journeyman guard Billy Thomas.
