Gallo sits from soreness and may not play tomorrow

Just got back from practice at Valley High and hit the In-N-Out baby. Protein-style, no cheese for me. Animal style for Starberman.

We're like Felix and Oscar, only I'm the real sportswriter.

Just bloggin!

Danilo Gallinari took a day off from soreness. He took a pounding in yesterday's game and his lower back got real tight. Like we've seen with most lottery picks -- Derrick Rose and Eric Gordon this year, Kevin Durant last year -- they wear out quick in the summer league games. This is a result of going 100 miles an hour from the PreDraft Camp through the draft and to here.

He's questionable for tomorrow's game against San Antonio (if anyone can tell me about one player on the Spurs summer league roster you watch way too much basketball) but he'll be fine to finish out the league play over the weekend.

After this, Danilo heads to Italy to practice with the national team, which begins a Eurobasket tournament in August. Italy failed to qualify for the Olympics so these tournaments are qualifyers for 2012. He'll play into September, have about a week off to get himself back to New York, acclimated and working out with his teammates and then training camp begins sometime in that final week of September.

N8 the Gr8 showed up and practiced. He'll probably play tomorrow. Anyone who thinks N8 might be trade B8 is sadly mist8ken. D'Antoni loves him. As we said here, they're gonna try to make him fit the role Leandro Barbosa played successfully under D'Antoni in Phoenix.

Meep-meep!

Last night for me in Vegas, Fixers.

@Sergio:
Isiah is dead meat and unwanted.
He is trash and will always be trash.
He is now a greeter @ Wal-Mart.

@ Orange & Blue:
Of Znake's recent draftees, he got a winner with DLee and a potential winner with Chandler;
But balance that out with who we could've gotten instead of Balkman and Frye.

Zuk is/was a decent drafter, nothing more. His eye for talent is vastly overrated.

There are 2 sides to the coin.
Yup, been there, done that.

In and Out is WAY overrated Alan. Gimme a slice from the pizza joint to the left of Charlie O's in Penn Station any day over it...

Man I miss home sometimes. LOL!

Danilo has a hell of a schedule. No down time for the guy...I predict hitting the rookie wall in late January for sure...

Sorry about the multiple posts. This blog comment thing is full of bugs...

Mak,
Just like at Berman's....you sound more ignorant ever time you post!
Two sides to every coin? Did you look that up? Gee!

I wonder how many games will it take the new Knicks to win the same number they won all year with Isiah.

MAK

Note that I qualified Zeke as a good drafter, not excellent, great, legendary or other superlative.

But with that said note how you mentioned both Chandler and Lee, who is reported to be highly coveted amongst teams looking to trade with NY.

Also note that Hahn mentioned how much [ ]'antoni loves N8 the G8 and seeks to utilize the kid in a Barbosa type of role with the Knicks.

Also note that while Frye might have not panned out Thomas did acquire serviceable, hence, tradeable commodities that might still flourish in either [ ]'antoni's or another teams system.

Lastly, wasn't Isiah out in Europe doing a lil scouting on the Kid Gallinari. Say what? Didn't he convey to Walsh that Gallinari had a toughness, many Euros are percieved to lack, when he stated that Gallinari 'just won't back down!'

Ok I'm done with that. I can understand that many a Knick fan feels chaffed by the wasted years and the failure to develop the talent on the Knicks. That's what this regime is here for, and also to reverse the redundant or chemistry killing trades.

OK back to normalcy

Don't know if the word about Lee possibly being included in a deal with the clippers would net us something we don't already have.

Seems like Roberson can duplicate what Eric Gordon could provide from the perimeter.

But if Lee and Z-Bo head west our team rebounding will take a hit, especially against the beefier Eastern Conference teams.

With that in Mind if there is any truth to the whispers that Lee might Join Z-Bo to LA we ought to insist on DeAndre Jordan coming back. It would also be nice to get a 1st rounder for 2010 since we don't get a draft pick there.

Actually seems like the Clips are looking to save face, and the Knicks are looking to exit players that will hamper “2010″ or are redundant. Seems like La and NY might work together. But that is just my educated “WHAT” guesse!

Good chops on Bermanbury "crunch!"

Listen I have a question which perhaps you or the other Fixers might want to consider.

I love Meep Meep, funny shyt indeed.

But

What will happen with the [ ]'antoni Ferrari when it hits the bumby road of the Eastern Conference playoffs?

Assuming they get there some time down the near road? Many of the beefed up teams might be Geriatric, then again they might then be hitting their stride- save the Pistons, and Celtics.

If the road runner duped a malnourished coyote how will it fair against a powerful thoroughbred mare?

Then again I like D'antoni's gumption, Crawford spoke with confidence about the coach's belief in his coaching abilities, and teh fact that the man loves innovators- hello Michaelangelo- says alot to me that he has that about him. He'll attempt to dictate the mismatches instead of having them dictated to him. The team being built is a slapp in the face to the sumo tandem East- Garnett and Perkins, O'neal and Bosh, Brand and Dalembert not to mentionthe Pistons the front line heavy Nets etc.

But do you think sending out a bunch of quick threes and 3/4 types might grind down the squad?

It's just something that ran to my mind recently.

Me I'm looking forward to [ ]'antoni playing the Michaelangelo style contrarian and taking that too the bank.

Why b/c I want to see the Knicks win a chip in my life time. Something which many an older head has the privilege of knowing.

Out like a scout!

Clippers Acquire Camby??? WTF????

I heard the same thing on ESPN Radio 1050.

There goes are chance to dump Z-Bo to the Clippers.

But damn Walsh Z-Bo to LA may still be possible

Remember my three way trade with the Lakers, Kings, and Knicks

The Clippers Accquired Marcus Camby for a 2nd round pick this evening!
Even with his Arrival..Ron Artest doesn't want to play for Nuggets!
ZACH and the Scholar and Lee for Artest and Camby? Could happen!!!!!

Just was reading about that Camby trade. Can this be just blowing smoke to force the Knicks hand. Did Espn say it was a done deal or rumor?

Damn...saw the camby trade on the ESPN ticker

but don't they have chris kamen?
now they have two centers and no power forward

hmm...what if we could get camby or kamen from the clips

also what are the nuggets going to do for rebounding?

i hope walsh has his hands in the kitchen
cuz i want some "trade Zach" Gumbo

did walsh make a mistake?
or is he a shrewd bizness man?

Hold up Hold up here is the story originally from hoopsworld.

"Marcus Camby to the Clips?
A source with knowledge of the situation has told HOOPSWORLD the Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Clippers are discussing a deal which would send center Marcus Camby to the west coast.
With Elton Brand departing for Philadelphia, the Clippers have around $12 million to spend this summer. Since LA is under the salary cap, the Clippers could absorb Camby's salary without giving Denver anything in return. However, it is expected that if a deal is consummated, the Nuggets would get at least one draft pick in return.

For the Clippers, the deal would give the team a formidable frontline of Chris Kaman and Camby to complement the backcourt play of Baron Davis and rookie Eric Gordon.

The deal would help lessen the Nuggets' payroll and give the team more financial flexibility moving forward. The 34-year-old Camby is due to make $8 million this season and $7.65 million in the final year of his deal in 2009-10.

The Clippers reportedly had dialogue this weekend about acquiring Zach Randolph from the New York Knicks in a deal that would have accomplished a similar goal for the Knicks.

The source emphasized that no deal has been completed as of yet. Stay tuned to HOOPSWORLD for the latest."

The Clippers may be trying to induce Walsh to budge and give up Gumbo for nothing.

Can Camby provide post offense? No!

That is what they were trying to replace in Brand. Gumbo does that better than Camby. Kaman can do the shot blocking, and would compliment Gumbo better than a Camby Kaman lineup.

Let's see what is confirmed over the next several hours before we- including me- jump off the tracks.

If this is so then I still think Gumbo could get sent to LA- the Lakers that is in a multi team.

So if denver's dumping contracts, they're not gonna take on Z-bo.

Maybe the Knicks would trade Z-bo to the Clips straight up for Camby...

Clips already got Kaman..

Matt B - interesting Camby for Zach ... Knicks get rebounder and shot blocker they wanted. Plus Camby's contract is up in two years.
Yep 2010 .... hmmmm.

This may be a multi team trade in the making?

With Warriors freeing up payroll would they be looking to trade for Zach Randolph and if so, what would they be offering in return?

Would the Clips be interested in swapping Camby for Randolph? Camby is a better fit to our system and Randolph offers the Clips more offensive punch...

Brian from Sac-crap-mento,

You are crazy if you think In-N Out is Overrated.

Best fast food burger ever (if there is such a thing!!)
