A Mitchell Report and the Early Entry draft list is released
Wanted to link this blog posted today by Raptors beat writer Michael Grange on the Sam Mitchell situation in Toronto. Doesn't sound like Bryan Colangelo plans on dumping him, but Grange gives a great look into Mitchell's personality and the issues going on there between him and Colangelo.
Just food for thought...
As we reported today, Mike D'Antoni is meeting with Steve Kerr and Robert Sarver in Phoenix to discuss his future with the Suns. There have been suggestions made in the media that D'Antoni might walk away. If he does, it's likely because he knows of another situation where he would step right in. No one walks away from $8.5 million (left on his contract) without another payday somewhere else.
Kerr said on Phoenix radio that he would not grant another team permission to speak with D'Antoni.

No Dorsey!!!
Didn't Steph and the other Knicks want to play a more up-tempo style under Larry Brown three years ago. I think they would love playing for Mike D although they would be playing no D. I say go for Avery. He might be the only one who can get Curry to actually jump for a rebound.
More post-mortem...this time, from America's finest news source!

Dorsey was a senior he doesnt have to declare...
@Mike – that’s all I meant. If the term was coined here, I hope we get credit when the dictionary of the blogosphere is written.

Video Exclusive from the Basement!
MAK & MARK ...MAK 'S the one wearing the Hat
That's hysterical. Thanks, MIke. So that's why he came here. I knew there had to be a reason other than running a basketball team.
I saw this referenced earlier, anyone know how a firefox user can click on Alan's links? Thanks in advance for the help.
Oh yeah, and NO D'Antoni! AJ or Thib, let's get back the DEEFENSE chant!
There are two coaches for this Knick team, and they are Mitchell (as i previously mentioned) and A. Johnson, now that he's available. They both bring what we so desperately need...accountability and defense.
D'Antoni is not the answer...we don't have the players conducive to his coaching style. Besides, why would he come here, anyways????
@ Peace...
That video exclusive from the basement was hilarious...especially the part about the bag with the free ID card included....lol
With the possible exceptions of Beasley, Gordon, and Love, a very uninspiring draft class.
Rose and Douglas-Roberts CHOKED at the line in the NCAA title game.
Mayo is almost as Me-First as Stephon "Loser" Marbury.
Augustin, Chalmers, and Lawson are little more than two additional Little Man Nate's. Too small. No jumpers. No ability to play defense.
Bayless is Jamal Crawford, Part II. All gun and no ability to run the show.
Ellington's another Tar Heel who belongs solely in Carolina.
Budinger gets the White Hope Vote. Luke Walton, if he's lucky.
Dozier and Lopez figure to spend plenty of time in the D League. Neither can play on the block. Dwight Howard would kill both. Even Lazy Eddy might do something other than whine.
Brandon Rush already has his big brother with whom to fail.
Maybe we'll take the Italian. In a straight up swap. For Marbury. His posse. And a Siena pizzeria.
@Not Hawthorne
Only way to view links is through IE...can't be done with Firefox (at least not that I am aware of...only thing I can think of is to install the following Firefox Addon: "IE Tab")
scroll over pick #36, and think to yourself, demetris nichols: traded for and immediately cut before a single NBA game was played, so that fred jones and jerome james could play (or not play, in the latter case) for the new york knicks.
should someone like Douglas-Roberts or Dorsey fall to the second round (by all accounts looking like they won't) I'll be looking back on last summer's meaningless move and wondering, why? no, wait, I'm already wondering why.
Let's go Hawks!
Lets all hope the Celtics have a "bad" game tomorrow!
It's been 20 years since the Hawks got "screwed" in game 7,the whole 4th!
where Nique and Bird went at it. Doc Rivers was on the Hawks then
and Boston got "Phatom" calls the whole 4TH! Lets hope History
corrects itself! LETS GO HAWKS!
BTW.....Rivers whined like a baby in the post game interview,
IE...foul trouble...every excuse in the book! Boston just plain out
got their Azz handed to them!
go hawks !!!! F Boston !!!!!
Thanks Mikemc. I guess I'll try it. Alan, if you could ask your IT guys. Firefox is gonna be here for the long term so it might be something you'll want to deal with. Thanks.
Let's go Hawks!
We gonna shock the world!!!
Agent Zero, otherwise known as the Stephon Marbury of D.C., refused to play against The Queen and The Cavs. Typical selfish punk. Just like his mentor, Marbury.
Jazz dispatched T-Mac, another chronic, overpaid, whining loser with Marbury Disease. Booted Skip To My Loser out the door, too. Hail to Utah!
Looks like The Rapist will steal the MVP from Chris Paul, Kevin Garnett, Dwight Howard, and other law-abiding members of the NBA family. Wonder how big of a rock The Rapist will buy the Missus this time to shut her up.
Saw Al Hahn in the parking lot of the Jersey Home Depot. He looked, well, swell carrying all those off-white paint cans and muttering "darn" and "golly gee whiz." Another Saturday for the average hockey writer in suburbia.
Soon Rupert will buy out Zell and the average hockey writer will spend his self-imposed exile in suburban hell trying to remember what the Big Apple looks like.
Visiting day tomorrow, Peaceman. Look sharp for the 14 kids by nine different women from six different states in three different countries on two separate continents.
@ Anonymous Aka "The Troll"
Make that 15, you being the last. Damn... if you only would of
stopped breathing during that abortion attempt your Mother and I tried...it would have been a success!
Oh well there's a reason for everything.....we are still trying to
figure YOUR'S out!
Brainless like Peaceman, Ewing does not have the mental faculties to become a Head Coach.
Ewing is a Hall of Famer for his physical and athletic abilities and nothing else. Certainly, someone like Peaceman can appreciate that.
As usual, Peacewoman is wrong again.
Celts beat the sh*t out the Hawks.
Peacewoman is better off just offering stock tips to his parole officers and to his 14 illiterate children.
peaceman just keeps getting embarrassed in here.
u guys ought to give the old lad a break
Troll season? LOL Mike Q ...Fah Q

The Rapist had plenty of help against the Jazz today.
Officials (David Stern Stooges) Joe Crawford, Jim Clark, and Ron Garretson called 33 fouls on Utah, giving The Rapist and his fellow felons a whopping 46-30 advantage in attempts at the free throw line. The Rapist and his fellow fellows outscored the Jazz at the charity stripe, 38-22, and won by 11.
Credit the first win for The Rapist and his fellow felons to David Stern's Public Relations Department at the NBA Central Office.
Too bad the second-rate hockey writer failed to point out this glaring fact.
I imagine David Stern's PR department couldn't be more thrilled with the fact that Kobe is playing the best ball - and the best team ball - of his career at the moment.
Alan - it's time to enforce the ban again. I respect the fact that you've got better things to do than paTROLL the blog. Also, that you probably feel sorry for the guy.
But the other sites have obviously enforced their ban quite effectively, which means we're stuck with hearing about the rapist and other Al Campanis-like comments ("mental faculties"? sheesh!). Please - enough is enough. I'm no IT guy, but I have to believe if the other sites can do it, we can too. And you know you'll have the support of everyone here.
Choo-choo,
Mental faculties wasn't me. Not my line of verbiage. Nice try by some chump, though. As usual, he/she/it failed. As it will always be.
The Rapist, that's old news. Care to explain, though, why Dave Stern's PR Staff gave The Rapist and his fellow felons a charity stripe to victory against Utah?
