Walsh meets Jackson in Phoenix

We ran a story in today's Newsday that said Donnie Walsh flew to Phoenix to meet with Mark Jackson.

So the process has officially begun. I don't expect things will come together quickly, unless Jax blew DW away in their meeting. There are other candidates for Walsh to get to, but, as we said, if Jackson came across to Walsh as well as Larry Bird did in 1997, then Walsh might see no reason to carry on.

Stay tuned . . .

There's only one reason I may not be upset if Mark Jackson
AKA " Marbury Light" gets the Head coaching Job.
That reason is...Ron Artest! They are both ST. John's Alumni and
both are native NYER'S, so in June when Artest can Opt out and become a free agent.....The Knicks would be even more attractive to Artest! Ewing would most likely return to NY with Jackson.

I question if Oak has hurt his chances of being hired as an assistant by his emphatic endorsment of Herb?

I want Thibodeau before anyone else. The guy is available. Why not hire him? I mean, you'd(Walsh) rather hire Jackson than a defensive genius in Thibodeau? That guy will be a great head coach, mark my words. I like Jackson too but not at the expense of Tom Thibodeau.

I rather see him wait also... Who knows what coachs may be available after the first round... Thibodeau is intriguing... But so is D'Antoni and Avery, you never know who will wow you if you only interview one person...

There is a 0% chance Ron Artest will ever play on another Donnie Walsh team. It will never happen. Ever. That ship has officially sailed.

What are your resources to make such a statement?
Please share? If that's just an opinion, excuse me.
However, that seems to be an emphatic post!

Maybe I missed it before...but why is Jax so high on the list? I know Walsh thinks he may impress like Bird did in Indiana, but we need a seasoned coach. We are past experiments at this point:

- Marbury experiment: failed
- Marbury/Francis: failed
- Curry/Marbury: failed
- Curry/Randolph: failed
- Jerome James: Frankenstein sized failure
- Zeke as Pres/coach: we know how that went
- Large team salary: see above

If I were Walsh, I would focus on the available experienced coaches first and offer Jax an assistant job. Ewing has paid his dues, let the man draw the X's and O's!!!!

I'm High

ATL beatdown Boston!!!!!
Josh Smith and Alan's ROY were Monsters!
The Hawks are confident they can play with Boston now!
If they continue to play like last night it will be like GSW 2007!
No one but us will even remember the Knicks sorry Azz season!

If history can be made via coming back from a 0-3 series,
it wouldn't surprise me to see the Suns do that!
Enjoy the games today!
