The Madison Square 'Pardon Us'

Tickets to the game from a heavily discounted package deal or from a desperate scalper: $99

Parking at a nearby facility: $35

Hot dogs, pretzels and soda: $0

Hearing Isiah Thomas say such disingenuous things as....

I don't think we can ever fully show the fans how much we appreciate them because they've given us so much this year. They've been so good to us this year that, there's nothing we could ever do to try to repay them. Except for a huge, huge thank you, I guess. Just a huge thank you.

.....Priceless.

I actually love the free food and drink idea for tonight's game. A terrific way to express gratitude for a fan base that just kept filling the Garden despite how bad the product has been this season.

And it's a brilliant move to counter any negativity that may exist on what could be Isiah's final night along the Garden sideline. A fat and happy crowd will be too giddy to boo.

Let them eat cake!

I can't wait until everyone in the crowd starts throwing their free hot dogs and popcorn on the court once the Knicks are down by 30.

Lee - I was thinking the same thing.

Please, if you're going to this game, get your free hot dog and throw it on the court.

A steady shower of free hot dogs. It would be the perfect way to show Dolan and Walsh how disgusted we are. And they're soft enough to not do any real damage, should they hit anyone.

Alan, I'm sure you can't condone this on your blog, but you'd have to admit, that would make a great story for the Knicks last home game.

especially if one landed in my mouth!

The end of an era tonight. Enjoy it.

Lee & Matt B. - best idea I've heard since firing Isiah!

this is tha night to let ur voices or just sheer frustration be heard...boy tha prowler wishes he was there.

@ flybanjo - tonight is tha end of an ERROR !!

The Celtics are getting more revenge upon the Knicks -- the big three aren't playing to ensure the Knicks only get the sixth pick in the draft.

And, there are three "all star" type players coming out:

Rose, Beasley, Lopez, Mayo and Bayless. There is a big drop off in the next group. The best picks will be Westbrook or Love, but the Knicks won't pick either. They'll take Jordan.

chandler hurt his knee. they're calling it a sprain after initial x-rays taken at msg. looked eerily like the nate robinson injury to channing frye a few years back, a game i was in attendance for. channing was having probably his best game as a knick until that moment.

also, these x-ray results remind me of how they hid mardy collins' knee surgery for a few months until the start of the summer pro league in vegas...

in any case, hope chandler is all right. i suppose isiah's last hope has played his last game as a rookie.

also, thanks alan for posting the link to knicksdefense. you're one of the good guys at that courtside media table.

tell frank he's got a girly laptop for me...

Yes! Great loss for the Knicks. Isiah should not be allowed to win his last game at MSG. One more loss . . .and maybe we can move into the top five.

The Pearl should be ashamed of himself, saying that the only reason the fans chanted fire isiah was because the newspapers told them to.

DAMN...we lost against boston's backups!

you know what that means?
more ping pong balls!...
we were one game ahead of memphis for fourth worse record

i hope chandler's knee is just a hyper extension and no ligament damage.

I HOPE THIS IS GOODBYE ISIAH!

.

Alan,
The Knicks Fanatics that you for the Blog roll link!
Chandler's backward motion of his Knee looked like
what happened to Bernard King...at almost the same spot, in a similar meaningless game! Any time your knee goes backward
it more often than not involves the "ACL." The Post Game report
stated he will have an MRI tomorrow..and I doubt MSG will reveil
the truth!.....in other observations......

Another thing....look at WALSH wearing his name tag????
Alzheimer's Disease is Not a Normal Part of Aging
Misplacing car keys. Not remembering a familiar name. Some people do become more forgetful as they get older. That's a normal part of aging. Alzheimer's disease is not. Like Walsh wearing his Freaken Name tag
to remember where the hell he's at!

Interview 2 with Zeke
Walsh: Whats your name again?
Zeke: It don't matter Mr. Walsh!
Walsh: Are you Hank Aarron?
Zeke: Yes I am Mr. Walsh
Walsh: Try not to Break whats his names Record..OK?
Zeke: yes Mr. Walsh I promise I won't!

I think Chandler will be allright. It seemed a straight line (no twisting) hyper extension of the knee. The problem will be if there is a bone bruise or if the cartilage was bruised. I don't think he did anything to the collateral ligaments.

Did you see the Fat Bastard win the "dance contest" The guy works for the Garden. They pulled out all the stops.

I think Pearl's point was, everybody waited until 25 seconds left to chant "Fire Isiah", not that they were told to boo by the papers and wouldn't boo otherwise.

Fittingly, Zeke goes to Indianna to die. We must make sure to put a stake through his heart and pin him to a cornfield so he doesn't get up from his grave to trouble the world again.

So, after 4 and a half years with Isiah at the helm, in a game where Isiah is clearly "coaching" to win and Boston is sitting its three best players, the Knicks lose at home. Ladies and gentlemen... the body of work.

Willis - I can sympathize with the desire to put an end to his creepy undead-looking presence, but Isiah could actually help the Knicks in the unlikely event that he found another NBA job. If the long-term goal is to reach the league's elite, having Isiah run some other team means that there is one less potential competitor to worry about. Although given how its gone down here, I can't see anyone bringing him in for a while. I was reading about the Sonics' situation this morning (how their scumbag owners have plotted to move the franchise), and it made me realize how lucky we are to be in a city where the franchise is as stable and permanent as the Knicks. There are a lot of NBA cities where the kind of poor performance and fan anger/ alienation that has happened here could put the future of the team in trouble. I think the last few years would make any owner think long and hard before committing to the Weasel, "eye for talent" or no.

Isiah has disgraced the franchise and made moves that cost the fans, the owner, the city of New York from any basketball success.
I hope we get rid of Marbury, Curry, James, Robinson, Crawford, Richardson, Collins,ect... ect...ect...

All the players are all one dimensional scrubs. We need some good talent evaluation and selfless players to be at the top again. I could only dream. Donnie has got to do something. Help...

AR - your post also describes "the body of work".

Pete - spoken like a true scholar of strategy - let's hope Zeke reigns elsewhere - we'll just festoon our doors with garlic and the blood of a sacrificed lamb to ward him from our home.

Cassell has solidified that Celtic second unit and puts to rest their greatest concern. That club will go a long way. As much as I love what CP3 has done, both he and Kobe have been given the keys to the car and really been unequivocally given the reins to their respective teams (after untold whining and bitching on Kobe's part - a demerit to me). In that sense, their jobs of leading their teams and being the "Most Valuable" was simpler I think than what Garnett has done. Garnett changed that organization and brought together men who had already led their respective teams, men who could easily have pulled in other directions. And he did it by example, by practicing and playing harder than anybody so he would have the moral authority to ask more of his team. Character should be a part of "Valuable" and Garnett has it in spades. Chris Paul is a great talent - I'd take him and YMCA team as the Knicks starting 5, but he still must grow to be the statesman that Garnett is. Kobe - not so much. And Garnett's team is the best in the Leauge. MVP.

If we stopped going to games he would have been fired...

so of course we are the best, for him

Kobe- MVP he needs to finally win, missed Bynum for most of the season and played well b4 Gasol showed up...

Durant-ROY was leaning toward Horford for awhile but the west is much tougher, and Durant cant be penalized because the Sonics gutted the team...

Scott-COY Rivers just showed that almost anyone can coach a great team, to a great record... With a healthy team Scott's squad went beyond expectations...

Camby- DEF The man should have been an all-star, too bad he is in the west... 2nd best rebounder, best shot blocker, and gets over a steal a game... Not his fault that no else on his teams plays D...

Hedo-MIP Hands down my choice, could go to Gay or Calderon but Hedo has been huge this season... And has become the 1st option for the Magic...

Manu-6th Man Who else, he could win every year really...

GOOD NEWS ABOUT CHANDLER

only a sprain and no ligament damage.
