Isiah Thomas' point of view: if the Knicks win tonight, they can call it three wins out of the past four.
Now that's optimism.
Small crowd here at the Garden for this one...a result of a holiday Friday night in New York, maybe some traffic and . . . maybe the state of the team. Still, Isiah heard the boos loud and clear when he was introduced.
The team overall was booed as well. Each player down the line was booed. Some louder than others. Eddy Curry and Stephon Marbury heard it the worst.
James Dolan isn't here to hear it.

James Dolan is the greatest owner in professional sports and Knicks fans should get down to their knees every day knowing they're in good hands with "Jimmy" on board.
Isiah deserves another extension, by the way.
why am i watching this game?
At the half the Knicks are their way to another loss. Steph 's idea of aggression and leadership is himself blowing lay ups and not creating the proper spacing for the offense to execute. Just throw him in the garbage. In fact ban him from basketball.
the knicks actually don't need curry, they play better without him on the floor. the spacing is better, the guards have more room to penetrate, and the other bigs can play big. they have plenty of other bigs to fill his minutes, jeffries, lee, zbo, balkman.
i say cut your losses and trade him now.
The Knicks spacing is also better without Stephonie. She had some bad menstrual cramping and could'nt play. What a gift to Knick fans ok. Trade that witch. We won without her.
I agree, get RID of curry while he has some value. i think we have a new lineup.... crawfrod, marbury, qrich, lee and randolph. with jones and balkman first off the bench. now we see why isiah praised jones this preseason he played a BIG role in this game. if marbury did not get hurt this game we would have lost.
Good to see Isiah actually show emotion on the bench, you can tell he wanted this game
Knicks will finish around 32-50. They're not that bad of a home team and will beat every crappy team like the Bucks and Bulls at home and good teams like Jazz and Nuggets from time to time
They will never win on the road.though against any type of team.
This win sealed that Isiah will be here for the remainder of 2007 and Isiah will spin this victory up.
While I and disgusted that we quit againist Boston no one should have thought we would win that game anyway and the magnitude of the loss keeps the pressure on the players to keep their noses to the grindstone. It's also only 1 loss no matter the score.
Alan, you may not like it but the reality is that we have won 3 of 4 and that's a good thing. We learned something ugly against Boston but they bounced back and won the game they should have won.
At least the fans are going to wins on most night. I don't think Bulls fans can say the same thing.
If we lose to Phoenix and then beat philly in a home and away we can get back to our pre season expectations
Before you trade Curry ,see if we can at least get six hard fouls out of him every game for those who want to brave coming down the lane. Maybe he'll get into a fight and get some heart.
The best stat of the night is that Channing Frye got replaced by Raef Lafrentz in the starting lineup! The Knicks can officially say they got the better end of that deal!
Great win tonight against the Bucks.
Note that the Knicks comeback occurred with Marbury in the locker room. He should be traded for whatever can be obtained. We will never learn about this team's heart and desire until he is gone.
this is clearly all of dolans fault. i am beyond blaming isiah. the win tonight was nice but as long as jim dolan is the owner of this team, the knicks are very well doomed. it's as clear as day. the man cant even come to the games, hes never available for comment, hes useless.
The problem I have with much of the media is that they are front runners and drama queens. If I were to go by the media Thomas was the only person who allegedly committed sexual harassment at MSG as well as i the entirety of sports. Thomas is the only exec who has lost games trying to rebuild a team. One writer went as far to say the only person who believes Thomas can win with the Knicks is Dolan. That would be a lie which looked dumber when he said just the facts later. Nothing is in concrete this early. If you are certain the Celts are a success there is most of the season to prove you wrong. If you are certain the Knicks are done there's a lot of season to make you look like a fool or a genius. I prefer to give the Knicks a bit more time. Zack is saying only now do the guards know where he likes the ball and Curry is still finding his place with Zack here. BTW, it takes bigs about 5 years before they get it, I'm not about to give up on Curry because Zack's here.
yea Emac!
I will be there on Sunday rooting for the Knicks. Let the booers boo. They will cheer if the Knicks win......
i used to love steph til he left and put himself in front of the team. but this wasnt a team victory guys, lets relax with the marbury trading talk. fred jones went nuts, jamal did what he does, and the team got out alive. we're definitely better with him. remember last season.. he was playing D and getting everyone involved. hes capable of doing it. and yeah curry is the cowardly lion. hes a big guy with tattoos and a consistent scowl, yet he plays softer than chris quinn. remember when people were talking curry or howard haha. yeahh howard looks like a monster now.
by the way, did anyone happen to see the jazzlakers game? ihope you guys did. it was true team basketball.. fun to watch. kiralenko had 20-10-11 with 6 stls and 4 blks. they made it look like fun.
