Beltran now testing knee in leftfield

Looks like Carlos Beltran might be OK for tonight's game. He's running sprints from the leftfield foul into centerfield and he's not favoring the leg. Beltran started with straight sprints and then switched into curved ones to test the knee's stability.

Trainer Ray Ramirez and strength coach Rick Slate are supervising.

Now Beltran is trying to back on balls tossed over his head by Slate. Still looks OK.

Beltran said he felt a "pinch" behind his right knee after Monday's home-plate collision with umpire Ed Rapuano.
