Notes: Jerry Manuel said this morning that John Maine is tentatively scheduled to make his next start against the Marlins. But he also added this ominous statement -- if Maine has to be shut down again this season, it will be permanent. Personally, I think there's about a 60 percent chance of that happening ... Manuel also said there's an "outside chance" Luis Castillo could be activated for tomorrow's series finale against the Astros. When Castillo does return, he will be the No. 2 hitter again, but will share a platoon with Damion Easley.
