« Can the Mets win the East without Wagner? | Main | Tonight's lineup »

How's this for comic relief?

Because I know everyone out there in Mets Land is super-stressed by Billy Wagner's latest elbow development, here's something to make you smile this morning, courtesy of your pinstriped pals in the Bronx:

Oops ... How's that? Feeling any better?

Now back to reality. No matter how many games the Yankees fall out of first place, that still doesn't change the fact that the Mets are facing the prospect of life without Wagner for the remainder of this season.

Last night's 7-3 comeback win over the Braves was a good start, but it's not like every ninth inning is going to be as easy as it was for Scott Schoeneweis in that one. The level of difficulty for interim manager Jerry Manuel, to borrow a phrase from Spinal Tap, just went to 11. And my colleague Jim Baumbach details those challenges in today's column.

How many people think Reyes deserves some consideration for MVP? I do, he has been the most consistent hitter in the Mets lineup.

he is doing great imagine the Mets without Reyes and Pelfrey?

please clarify, what does the backpage of today's paper have anything to do with the Mets?
