Tonight's lineup vs. the Brewers

By ERIK BOLAND

In his meeting with reporters a few minutes ago, Willie Randolph said Mets second baseman Luis Castillo would sit again tonight with a sore knee. He said it would be up to Castillo as to when he would be ready to return. Also, Raul Casanova makes his season debut at catcher; his season debut, period. The lineup:

Reyes SS
Pagan LF
Wright 3B
Beltran CF
Delgado 1B
Easley 2B
Church RF
Casanova C
Figueroa P

It is cold and damp with a light mist falling at the moment but they are expected to play. Rod Boone will be taking over later as our live blogger.

Where's Schneider?

how about switching Delgado and Beltran in the lineup? it may just be me, but i cannot stand Carlos B. he just kills me. all the money he was signed for and he looks at pitches for Ks and swings and misses for Ks with RISP like its nobodys business and he cant even run anymore. i feel like he took the Mets for mad money while he was at his best and since then he's fallen off like a brick overboard. maybe not that bad but you get my gist. Delgado is playing like he means it so I think he should get the bump up in the lineup. just my .02 sense. cya.

K.C., the man needs a day off. That's routine for catchers.

Mike, yeah, I think we should ride Delgado's hot streak too (who would have thought that we'd be saying that this year?). Beltran doesn't seem like the kind of guy who would mind.

Delgado :.306 Batting Avg.

Not bad. He is already going above all the naysayers expectations.
