Curtains for Caravan

caravan.jpg

After noticing a post on Metsblog about the status of the Mets Caravan, just thought I'd let everyone know that it's not happening this year. The Mets did not give a specific reason, but it's no secret that players are not big fans of interrupting their winter vacations to come to New York. And after last season, it's not like the Mets need to drum up interest to spike ticket sales. The Caravan may not be back any time soon.

Can someone please explain to me why Minaya is getting so much praise? The guy gets Delgado and La DOca because of a house sale!! The guy really if u think about it has done nothing to improve this team. He cost us the championship by not getting a dominant pitcher. Second why does he refuse to allow Heilman to start???

I trust Mets Management does not take their loyal fans that came out 3.5M strong in 2006. The Mets could not capitalize on a golden opportunity to win the 2006 World Series. Their inability to capture the crown when things aligned perfectly may spill over into a disappointing 2007 season. I just hope that Mets Management does not assume fans will turn out in major numbers like they did in 2006.
