I'm not a Christian, but I wonder, is this What Jesus Would Do?

I'm always astounded by ignorance when I'm confronted with it but the pastors' remark stuns me.

Pastor Byrd says the sign is not meant to be racial or political but rather to make people think. "His name is so close to Osama I have a feeling he might be Islamic therefore he doesn't recognize Christ," Pastor Byrd said.

Rest assured Dan, this "pastor" and his congregation are not true Christians. There is nothing Christ like about the sign, their intent in putting it up or their vote to keep it up after the community outcry. In this one sentence Mr. Byrd is using deceit, misrepresenting a fellow brother in Christ and lying. And of course showing the extent of his ignorance.

Jesus is about truth and knowledge. So Mr. Byrd is in trouble for misleading his flock.
