Howard H. Roberts Jr., the new New York City Transit president, attended his first committee meeting at MTA headquarters on Madison Avenue Tuesday afternoon. When introducing Roberts, MTA Board member Barry Feinstein quipped "Running this mass transit system is a job that no one should be happy about."
Roberts replied "There must be something wrong with me because it is a great pleasure to be back and I can't think of a better job in the world."
