Watching the watchers

MTA Police purchased a $40,000 software system from CI Technologies for its Internal Affairs division.

“This proprietary software, IA Professional Software (IAPro) will provide MTAPD Internal Affairs Division with information that identifies adverse or problematic behaviors of Police Officers,”
according to the procurement document.

Sixty-five police agencies nationwide use it, including the NYPD, Nassau PD, and Port Authority police.
