Courtesy of our friends at SubChat, here's a map of the Second Avenue subway aka the T line in all her completed glory -- sometime around 2020 if all goes according to schedule. Origins on this map is unclear, does anyone know? And, why is the No. 7 extension left out?

It's from the MTA's website about the SAS, probably made before the 7 extension was even discussed.
That'd be because that map is years old and comes from the MTA website in the first place -- note that it still shows the 9.
of all the boroughs in this city manhattan is not the one that needs another subway line. look at this-- its only purpose is to save rich upper east siders a few extra blocks of walking. pathetic waste of billions.
Richard: You don't ride the subways in Manhattan much, do you? Consider the crowds - or lack thereof - in the Outer Boroughs during rush hour and that this subway line will alleviate the hordes of people on lines beyond the "rich" upper east [side]," as you so eloquently put it, we need this subway.
Richard: The long string of hospitals along York Ave are among the biggest employers in NYC, and health care is a huge growth engine for the City's economy. The 2nd Avenue line is crucial to getting employees and patients from all over the metro area to that part of town.
